Tax Planning and Preparation
Janssen & Igar understands business, individual, and estate income taxes. Accurate preparation is the end result of our investment in quality control and continuing education. Tax planning on our part allows us to help minimize your tax liability. We understand that taxes are just one component of good financial planning. Financial Statements
Accurately prepared financial statements are needed by banks and investors as well as management. The level of assurance that CPAs can provide on the financial statements varies considerably - and is usually dictated by banks or investors. At Janssen & Igar, we prepare basic financial statements that include a balance sheet, income statement, statement of cash flows and footnotes. These financial statements can be reduced or expanded to include valuable supplemental information. We strive to provide the optimum amount of information for each client's needs.
Controllership Function
We provide high quality financial advice on an as needed basis as a controller on call. Large corporations have a Chief Financial Officer and a Controller for the purpose of guiding and safeguarding the financial aspects of a business as well as helping to ensure that the financial information is accurate. The majority of U.S. businesses are much smaller and do not need full time people in these positions -- yet the expertise can make the business more profitable. That's where Janssen & Igar can help. We provide traditional duties of a CFO such as cash flow analysis, cost containment procedures, income enhancement ideas and other services; tailored to your individual needs.

Proper setup of QuickBooks is imperative for this software to provide information needed to run a business. Janssen & Igar can train you on how to achieve greater results from this powerful accounting system. We encourage small businesses to use QuickBooks and offer classes on a regular basis.
Personal Financial Planning
Personal budgeting, investing and analysis of insurance make up the bulk of the personal financial planning. Our objectives in this process include increasing your net worth and security, while reducing your risk. We are not investment advisers or salespeople (for specific investments) but we do recommend the type of investments that would be appropriate for you.
